I am a PhD candidate in physics at the University of California, Santa Barbara, studying condensed matter theory under the direction of Matthew Fisher. (See also my academic web presence at physics.ucsb.edu.)
From 2006-2008, I worked as the public relations coordinator for the Software Freedom Law Center, a nonprofit law firm that represents developers of free and open source software.
I have also worked as a software engineer in the CREATE Lab at the Carnegie Mellon Robotics Institute, and I still help out there as time permits.
