Hello!
I am a theoretical physicist, working primarily in the field of quantum condensed matter physics. Until recently, I had appointments at the Joint Quantum Institute (JQI) and the Joint Center for Quantum Information and Computer Science (QuICS), each of which is a partnership between the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the University of Maryland. More information on my work can be found on my academic web page.
I had two careers before that. From 2006–2008 I worked as public relations coordinator for the Software Freedom Law Center. Later, I worked as a software engineer in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University.
